He is so over black leather and studs. After his SS 2010 collection Marc Jacobs said he wanted to create something more individual, inspired by "a trip to theater, the ballet, the opera." I certainly see that in some of the more frilly deconstructed pieces, with the muted color pallet of pastels and sparkle (the ballet bun doesn't hurt either), but I must say: I a not sold. While some pieces read 17th century French courtesan others convey the image of a strict postwar German governess. The man is a genius and he manages to avoid whiplash by integrating the looks. For me, the stars of the shoot are the accessories. I mean hello fanny pack!
Favorite: The grey knit pantsuit on Magdalena. Need.
