Ali Stephens in June Vogue Italia
Vogue Italia did a shoot for the bikini and the body of summer. However, the photos have been met with both awe and outrage. Many are shocked at how slim Ali Stephens is in the images, saying "she is not even a woman. For Vogue Italia to cite her as the body of the summer is irresponsible." I am guilty of looking at these images and assessing myself. What is shocking is that I did not even notice that Ali looked overly thin, such is the norm of the fashion industry. I do see that Vogue picking her as the 'summer girl' for women to admire all over the globe, was perhaps a poor choice (considering 90% of readers are adult women and not adolescent girls like myself and Ali), but to call it irresponsible... I am not sure.

to be quite frank. i didn't even notice her thin physique as a cause of concern.. i think its fashion, the nature of the beast. it was a photo shoot, not making a certain criteria for beach bodies. i believe that mothers and youngsters alike can chill.
yeah i didnt notice either. and then i was on like 5 blogs that were all mad with like tons of comments. i love ali stephens and i think she looks good. and like you said: "the nature of the beast..."
hmmm she looks gorgie..i think shes one of the few models that is naturally skinny...i know that it is fashion but maybe it shouldn't be i dont know...cause it sure makes me feel ugly and fat but at leat it gives me something to aspire to.
